The Challenge

Slurry Is Your Biggest Untapped Asset – and Your Biggest Headache

Every day, CBG plants, sugar co-ops, and dairy cooperatives generate thousands of litres of slurry, digestate, press mud, and spent wash. Technically, it is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Practically, it is treated as waste.

Slurry Generation & Current Reality
Operational Overview Across Dairy, Sugar & CBG Plants
Operational Challenge
No. Operation Type Slurry Generated Current Reality
1 Dairy Cooperative (500 cattle) 5,000–8,000 L/day Lagoon storage, odour complaints, disposal cost
2 Sugar Co-op (2,500 TCD crushing) 75–100 MT press mud/day Compliance headache, limited field offtake
3 CBG Plant (5 MT organic input/day) 10–20 KL digestate/day Discharge risk, nutrient potential wasted
Core Biology

The core problem is not the slurry – it is the biology.

Raw slurry contains locked, unstable nutrients. Without live beneficial microbes, that nitrogen volatilises into the air, that phosphorus fixes into unavailable soil compounds, and that potassium never reaches a root. Farmers smell the problem before they see any benefit – and refuse to take it.

The Solution

Bio Capsule + Slurry = Premium Bio-Fertilizer

Fabino Bio Capsules carry 1 Trillion+ CFU (10¹² colony-forming units) of live beneficial bacteria — encapsulated in HPMC using ICAR-IISR patented technology (Patent No. 361021). When dissolved into slurry, these microbes colonise the organic matrix within 24–48 hours, doing four things simultaneously:

1. Fix Nitrogen

Fixes atmospheric nitrogen into stable organic forms (no volatilisation loss).

2. Solubilise Phosphorus

Solubilises locked phosphorus into plant-available phosphates.

3. Mobilise Potassium

Mobilises potassium from organic compounds already present in the slurry.

4. Suppress Pathogens

Suppresses pathogens through competitive microbial exclusion — making slurry safe for fields.

"1 capsule per 500 litres. That is all it takes to transform a disposal liability into a revenue line."

Application Protocol

How to Use: Four Steps. 48 Hours. Market-Ready Bio-Fertilizer.

1

Step 1 — Collect & Pool

Aggregate slurry into a lined pit, HDPE tank, or existing lagoon. Minimum batch: 800–1000 litres. No special equipment required.

2

Step 2 — Dissolve the Capsules

Pre-dissolve the recommended capsules in 1–2 litres of clean, non-chlorinated water. Stir for 2–3 minutes until fully dissolved. *Avoid direct sunlight on the solution.

3

Step 3 — Inoculate & Mix

Pour the dissolved capsule solution into the slurry tank. Agitate for 15–20 minutes using a paddle, pump recirculation, or mechanical stirrer. Microbes distribute evenly.

4

Step 4 — Incubate (24–48 Hours)

Allow the inoculated slurry to rest for 24–48 hours. Microbial populations multiply exponentially. For press mud, this incubation phase also reduces odour by 60–70%.

5

Step 5 — Apply or Package

Apply enriched slurry directly to fields via drip line, flood irrigation, or tanker spray. For co-ops packaging for sale, store in sealed containers at ambient temperature for up to 7 days post-enrichment.

Key Application Notes:

  • Maintain 3–4 day gap from any chemical fertiliser application
  • Compatible with drip, flood, and surface broadcast methods
  • No cold storage required; 16–18 month shelf life on dry capsules before mixing
  • Dosage may be adjusted based on slurry solids content and crop requirement — contact us for a site-specific protocol
Business Case & Financials

What Does Enriched Slurry Actually Earn You?

The simple maths comparing raw vs enriched slurry:

Commercial Metrics Comparison
Raw Slurry vs Fabino-Enriched Slurry Value Proposition
Financial ROI
Metric Raw Slurry Fabino-Enriched Slurry
Market value to farmer ₹0 – negative (disposal) ₹2–5 per litre (liquid bio-fertilizer)
Farmer willingness to pay None Documented N-P-K equivalent to ₹800–1,200/acre of chemical fertilizer
Regulatory posture Compliance risk Organic input — eligible for state subsidy
Odour / transport resistance High Significantly reduced post-enrichment

Illustrative ROI by Operation Type:

Dairy Co-op — 500 Cattle

  • Slurry generated: ~6,000 L/day → ~1.8 lakh L/month
  • Capsule requirement: ~360 capsules/month (1 per 500 L)
  • Enriched slurry value at ₹3/L: ₹5.4 lakh/month
  • Input cost (capsules): minimal
  • Net new revenue from a zero-value waste stream

Sugar Co-op — 2,500 TCD Season

  • Press mud: ~85 MT/day for 150 days = ~12,750 MT total
  • Mixed with water (1:10) → ~1.25 lakh KL enriched slurry
  • Value as liquid bio-fertilizer at ₹2/L: ₹2.5 crore per season
  • Previously: cost of disposal + press mud landfill risk

CBG Plant — 5 MT/Day Input

  • Digestate: ~15 KL/day → ~450 KL/month
  • Enriched and packaged: value at ₹4/L → ₹18 lakh/month
  • Differentiates CBG project's revenue model with a 2nd product line
